The Speedpro Awards for 2010 were given out at the recent Speedpro Annual Convention held at the Lac Leamy Hilton in Gatineau Quebec. The Awards Dinner was held on March 12th, 2011.

Speedpro Canada held their Annual Convention at the Renaissance Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada. The 2009 Speedpro Awards were handed out at the Awards Dinner on Saturday March 13th. The awards dinner took it’s theme from the recent Winter Olympic in Vancouver. The top stores in most categories received Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for their performance in 2009. Speedpro Signs Franchise of the Year Gold - Pembroke Ontario won their first ever Franchise of the Year award. For years they have been consistently in the top five Speedpro locations in Canada, though being in a smaller market in the Ottawa Valley Silver – Calgary NE, last years winner was the top volume Speedpro Signs for 5 months in 2009; Bronze – Grande Prairie AB, 4 time winner had the highest volume of any Speedpro Signs in 2009. Speedpro Imaging Franchise of the Year Gold – St Catharines Ontario won their 4th award and the 3rd in a row. The Top Speedpro Franchisees of 2007 were honoured at the Awards Dinner Saturday night at Peller Estates Winery in Niagara on the Lake. Speedpro Dog finally has a Name

The Speedpro Dalmation finally has a Name! It is Hue. The name fits in nicely with the colorful aspect of the Sign and Digital Print business. The name was decided by means of a contest where Speedpro Owners and their customers could submit suggestions, which would then be voted on by the stores. We received a number of interesting entries. The most imaginative names suggested were Vinyl Ritchie, D?Ink, CMYKanine, DeePeeEye and Sign Doggy Dog. Some of those names are funny if you understand the Sign and Print business. Names that got a lot of votes were Spot, Digi and Pixel. In the end Hue garnered the most votes beating out 2nd place Digi by a 25% margin. Thanks to all our customers, store owners and staff who put in their suggestions. The Winning suggestion came from Warren Brown of Delta Speedpro Signs. To show that great minds think alike Janine Kasai of Nelson Speedpro Signs and Janince LeBlanc of Sidney Speedpro Signs also came up with the same suggestion a few days later.

They broke the top monthly volume for Canadian Stores in June then broke it again in July. In November they posted their 6th Superior Award Winning month for the year, breaking a record going back to 1999. They posted the highest overall volume of any store in the chain. But more than this they contributed to the chain by working with other stores and head office to make Speedpro a stronger franchise. For all these things they are worthy of winning Franchise of the Year for 2004. St. Catharines won the Speedpro Imaging Franchise of the Year award for being the top Imaging centre in the chain. This was a new award to recognize the Imaging side of our business. St Catharines was opened by Doug and Lynda Setterington just less than two years ago and they have emerged as leaders in the chain. US Franchise of the Year went to Richardson Texas owned by Pat and Henry Stewart.This is the 3rd year they have won this award Mississauga won the Quick Start Award.
