Frequently Asked Questions

Q

How long does a vehicle wrap take?

A
Like most projects; the most important time spent is in the development of the concept and design. Whether you do this with your own designer; or, with a Speedpro designer; this will take the most time. Once the design has been approved; it will take 5 -10 days to create the printable files and the last step is to organize an installation date which meets your schedule.
Q

Can you do the design?

A

Yes, we can. We are an award winning vehicle wrap specialist. You supply any logos, pictures or specialty graphics you would like included. We will take these and create your custom, mobile, attention grabbing design. All logos, pictures, etc. must be of a high quality and resolution to ensure they can be enlarged to the size needed.

Q

Do I have to have my whole vehicle done if I want vehicle graphics?

A
No, vehicle graphics can be created for your budget and area you would like. You can have full colour decals, a half wrap, a full wrap; or, simply one colour text. Whatever you would like; we can create.
Q

Do I have to wash my vehicle before installation?

A
Yes. Your vehicle must be free of dust, mud, pollen, and other agents that may prevent the installation from adhering properly. When you wash you vehicle before you bring it to the installation location DO NOT USE WAX! Wax will also minimize the adherence.
Q

Can the wrap be taken off if I don't want it any more?

A

Yes, it definitely can be removed. The pressure sensitive adhesive on the vehicle wrap vinyl can be removed with heat and labour.

Q

How long will the wrap stay on my vehicle?

A

Normally, a wrap will stay on a vehicle between 3 - 5 years. You must ensure the material being used is high quality and made especially for a vehicle installation.

Q

How do I wash my vehicle once the graphics are on?

A
We recommend that you wash your vehicle by hand with soap and water. Some pressure washers can lift up the vinyl because of high use of the water pressure. A touch free washer has solvents to remove the grease and oil picked up from the road; this solvent can also damage the graphics.
Q

How long do you need my vehicle for installation?

A
We recommend you bring the vehicle to the installation site the night before the work is to be completed. Sitting in the site will normalize the temperature of the vehicle and this assists with the installation. Then, depending on the amount of coverage being completed it could be a half day, a whole day; or possibly two days depending on the vehicle.
Q

Will vehicle graphics damage my paint?

A
Actually, the vinyl will protect your paint. However, the inspection completed by our office may point out any areas of rust which should be repaired before the installation. Make sure you identify if there has been repair work completed on the vehicle. The repair work must have 2-3 weeks to cure before the installation is done.
