The Speedpro Awards for 2013 were handed out at the recent Speedpro Annual Convention held at the Empress Hotel in Victoria BC. The Awards Dinner was held on February 22nd, 2014.
Speedpro Signs Franchise of the Year – Red Deer, Alberta. Owned by Tammy Schlamp. Red Deer had a tremendous year in 2013. They were nominated for this award for 2012 as well.
Also Nominated for this Award were: Grande Prairie, a four time winner owned by Jennifer and Dave Metituk and last year’s winner Calgary NE owned by Joanne Ruston
Speedpro Imaging Franchise of the Year – London ON, Owned by Chris Vlemmix. Chris won this award last year as well.
Also Nominated for this award were: St Catharines ON, a five time winner of this award, owned by Doug and Lynda Setterington and Hamilton ON, owned by Emilio Sciascetti, his first nomination in this category.
Al Crow Memorial Trophy. This was formerly known as the Speedpro Cup and handed out to the top volume store in Canada. The late Al Crow was the owner of the Victoria location for almost 2 decades. Speedpro Victoria was consistently one of the top stores in the chain during Al’s years running the location.
It was appropriate that the renamed trophy was first handed out in Victoria. Al Crows wife and daughter were there to help present the award. The winner this year was St Catharines, which is run by Doug and Lynda Setterington.
SALES ACHIEVEMENT AWARD; This year it was split between smaller markets (Acadian) and larger metropolitan markets (Metro)
Sales Achievement - Acadian: Medicine Hat, Alberta. This store has been owned for the last 20 years by Ernie and Eileen Whitrow. They have also won Franchise of the Year 3 times during the last 2 decades.
Also nominated: Grande Prairie AB, owned by Jennifer and Dave Metituk and Trail BC, owned by Jay Bella
Sales Achievement - Metro: Guelph Ontario. This store is owned by Wally Escott and Sandy Ferguson. They had a tremendous year in 2013
Also nominated: Calgary NE owned by Joanne Ruston; Red Deer, owned by Tammy Schlamp and Hamilton ON, owned by Emilio Sciascetti
CLIENT LOYALTY; This new award includes; survey scores, recommendations, sales results, proper marketing practices that are known to us, client complaints (HO), performance with repeat clients. It was split between Acadian and Metro locations
Client Loyalty – Acadian: Pembroke ON owned by Chris and Louise Hermitte. Operating in a very small market in the Ottawa Valley they are consistently in the top 5 stores in the chain year after year.
Also nominated: St Johns NL, owned by Mark Crowley and Ann Mercer and Courtenay, owned by Mike Finneron
Client Loyalty – Metro: London ON owned by Chris Vlemmix. Chris had a great year also winning Imaging Franchise of the Year
Also nominated: St Catharines ON, owned by Doug and Lynda Setterington and Oshawa, owned by Dean Lawrence.
FAST START AWARD: Oshawa ON, Owned by Dean Lawrence. Dean had consistant growth and client loyalty during his first year and a half in business.
Also Nominated: Nelson BC, owned by Murray Kimber and Calgary SW owned by Jennifer and Dave Metituk
